Yes i know, the hottest issue right now is the “Hayden Camera Kho” scandals that have sweeping the nation by storm. Yes, i heard that this video has reached top 1 at Tower Recto, beating the Pacquiao vs. Hatton boxing match video. The collection, containing Katrina Halili (of Starstruck Fame), Maricar Reyes (of Ponds and Betty La Fea) and the other one simply referred to as “The Brazilian Model” (some say she’s the girl from the corned beef commercial, yet it’s still has to be confirmed.)
As i can remember a lesson from one of my subjects in college, we often tend to go with flow on the issue because let’s face it, media attention and the interest of the people are on this issue. Strike while the iron is hot as they say. But if we break down the entire thing, the events would be:
1. Hayden Kho secretly videotaped some of his escapades with different women.
2. Someone got a hold of the said video, released them over the net
and…..
3. Instant stardom…….
4. Media attention happens and it’s going to be a big news since the people involved were celebrity figures (i mean come on, would you spend your time watching this scandal if they were only ordinary individuals? i bet you won’t even watch it till the end)
Since the 2010 elections are coming, this is the right time…
- for politicians to jump in the issue and say that, we sympathize you (insert name of victim/s here) which even though their intentions are good and clean, you can’t change the fact that some of the people would think that what they are doing is more of a political move to be popular and make a name for themselves in the coming elections.
- for hypocrites (*ahem senator.. *ahem) to say that we will help you to capture the perverts of all perverts and put him behind bars (of course, this is a good move for them through the eyes of the voters)
Please, stop getting your name attached to the issue and work on the real problem of the country (hunger, people with no homes and/or food to eat, and gasoline prices just to name a few)
And stop impressing the people like you really care for the victims (i hope your not using them for your early campaigning propaganda)
Let’s all move along now….. move on with our lives….
