It’s only the first few days of the new year when we were all greeted with 2 sad news (well for the music industry)

• Ebe Dancel will be qutting Sugarfree in the next couple of weeks. Reasons are not yet discussed but according to him, he will explain his reason as to why
• This Morning, Bamboo (the band) decided to part ways and to pursue their own projects

That is for the first few days only of January. Last year, we all knew that Champ of Hale left the band and disbanded. Not only locally but also foreign acts as well for example Paramore’s Zach and Josh Farro and Dream Theater’s Mike Portnoy.

So why does this things happen?

• Musical Differences (as my bandmate Renz tells me, whenever that is the reason, a fight broke out between the members)
• Pursuing other careers (solo projects)
• Other band members kicked out a fellow member
• Reform with new members (hmmm..)
• Just plain tired playing the same old songs

One thing is for sure though, even though they left their respective bands, you have to admit that they made an impact to the music industry.

So to Ebe and Bamboo, goodluck on your future endeavors.
